One mental ability crucial for navigation, both in the real world and in a v i r t u a l environment, is spatial cognition. This review will discuss individual differences in spatial cognition and wayfinding; and how these differences could effect n a v i-gation in a virtual environment. Other human aspects, as cognitive strategies and personality factors, related to navigation and the use of computers will also be discussed..
